Petition to keep TV pure for Kids during the "decency" hours...

Please read this post on it, that is on Peggy Sue's blog. Federal Judges declare war on America's Families

Parents TV Organization

What follows is my own experience. I put it behind a read more, because its not for children to read per se. Personally, I think that unless they know the truth, they will be vulnerable to fall to the world's lies. I am disallowing comments on this post because of the subject matter. Thanks!

Congress, Unintended Discrimination, and The Not so Secret rules of Grocery Foods

If only Key People were to read this and understand what I'm really saying... My Life would end up being a miracle!

I'd like to...
1) Inform Doctors that it is possible to be allergic to anything and that mathematically it is conceivable that they will meet someone who is allergic to an uncommon ingredient, despite what the peanut gallery wants them to believe.

2) Inform Congress that it is not fair for us with uncommon food allergies to risk death only because food and drink labels are missing foods we are allergic to.

3) Inform the Public that it is possible to have many allergies and that it isn't an indication of 'sin in life', not detoxing properly, having negativity within them, or whatever myth they dream up or have heard. Food Allergies are real and they are life threatening.

4) Inform Congress that it isn't right that they can choose who will be 'protected' and who we, as a society won't protect.  I feel discriminated against. I feel like I could die before their very eyes and they wouldn't so much as lift a finger. They would, but you get my point, I hope.

Somedays I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette every time I grocery shop. Other days, I feel like I'm entering someone else's universe, a universe I don't belong in because I can't breathe their air, or eat their foods. I see aisles upon aisles of  foods, most of it I can't eat. I'm hungry, and sad because I can't have it. I want something I can eat on the go and can afford. I want something I can microwave.

I see the rules of foods, glaring me in the face...these aren't rules that society has intended to have. Its just that ignorance has brought these coincidences to glare these rules at me...

1) All prepacked foods must contain onion or canola oil.
2) All foods containing Veggie broth must not tell you what Veggie's are in that broth, lest we accidentally allow this product to be sold to the wrong person.
3) All canned tuna must contain hidden celery.
4) All Vegan and Vegetarian foods must not be labeled as such UNLESS they contain either Onion or Canola Oil.
5) All cans of foods at Costco must contain either onion or Canola Oil, or we can't sell it.
6) All "Buy this get 4 items free" must have customer buy Meat, Pork or Chicken and the free items must be Milk, Eggs, Dairy and a Gluten item. Lettuce may be substituted for 1 free item.
7) All 2 for 1 deals must be only for those who ate Beef, Chicken, Turkey or Pork. No Tofu can ever have such a deal. Nor can we honor Celiacs. They must never be given a break!
8) All myths concerning health risks of Scented Oils must be ignored as false and we must have these displays such that they contaminate as many aisles in the grocery store as possible. We must do everything in our power to keep people allergic to such displays from buying as much as we can from our store.

Yes, they do have to sell these products. And yes, I do have the right to not buy them. However...
When was the last time you went grocery shopping and found that you could not buy anything that would keep your blood sugar stable without ill effects? And all because you went into anaphylactic shock from walking into the store because their stupid display was right up front where you could not avoid it!

When was the last time you found while grocery shopping that none of the convient foods could you have when didn't have access to a kitchen?

When was the last time you realized that you forgot your precooked lunch at home and that you were without food and the grocery store was useless because you literally were allergic to everything that didn't need cooking that would keep your blood sugars stable?

When was the last time you had to make yourself ill because you had no choice and no other food options was available and you had to eat now or else you would be even more sick and might injure yourself due to physics and low blood sugar? And yes, by ill, I do mean you still feel like someone punched you in the stomach over and over again like some zealous bully who does not ever quite until someone makes them. I am not talking about a "minor" discomfort. I am talking about a very severe discomfort that is very painful. I'm also talking about nausea and pain in the joints as well.

I very seriously believe that hypo-glycemics are best off not having my food allergies. And that no one should have EE/EGID disorders. Sometimes I wish I did have formula so that in a pinch, I could just have that instead of eating. However, my stomach would still say "feed me" and that would drive me nuts! I feel for those who are on formula!

And yes, once more these words fall on deaf ears because the privileged majority has never cared to get out of their comfort zones. These people have never cared to help us. These people are fools I do not wish to associate with but because I also refuse to stoop down to their level of pride, I will associate with them and be civil. I will strive to teach them gently and with intent. Yes, only the squeaky wheel gets oiled. However, sometimes that squeaky wheel is better off speaking elsewhere where someone can hear, instead of in a blog that no one cares about because they don't need to care.
Am I Needy? No! I have done everything myself for many a year and will continue to do so. I will continue to speak and educate to the best of my knowledge. I will survive. Will You?
